MINUTE OF INCHTURE AREA COMMUNITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD AT INCHTURE
ON THURSDAY 2nd JUNE 2016
PRESENT T.Woodford, G.McKinlay, L.McFarlane, D.Henderson, B.Bird
APOLOGIES A. Bailey
Minutes from the May 2016 meeting were available and proposed by L.McFarlane, seconded by G.McKinlay.
POLICE & FIRE
There was no representative from the police available for the meeting, but a summary of items on the most recent police report was discussed. No items had been reported recently to the police, although an incident of car vandalism was mentioned during the meeting. Also highlighted was the current air weapons surrender campaign, and an initiative underway to target anti-social behaviour, with particular emphasis on weekends.
ROADS AND TRANSPORT
Discussion took place access to the bus-stop on the A90 and the possibility of putting in place a proper path to the bus stop. Trefor will take up with Perth and Kinross Council.
The matter of the poor state of the road by the side of the school was raised (B953 between A90(S) and Main St). This will be taken up with Perth and Kinross Council.
TWINNING
There will be a twinning visit to Fleac from 25th to 29th August 2016.
EDUCATION
Meeting was held on the 1st June to get volunteers for running the MUGA, and there were 7 volunteers. Construction should be taking place in the coming months.
A temporary head teacher has now been appointed for 1 year at Abernyte. The school roll is now down to 6 pupils, so concern remains about the long term future, however no further action is now expected for the next year.
BROADBAND
No further updates.
