MINUTE OF PREVIOUS
MEETING
The minute was read, and its acceptance was
proposed by Mr. G Ward and seconded by Mr P Henderson subject to the amendments
that the meeting was at Rait and the cost of the Inchture Ring Road was
estimated to be £2,000,000
POLICE AND
FIRE
The Local Police said that they were currently busy at
Inchture with vandalism and bogus workmen, there was also a problem with
youths
PLANNING
The
planning application for houses at Rossie Park Drive has been resubmitted with
a revised design. The Planners require an acoustic test.
An application has been submitted for a large house at
Quarryside Kinnaird which will require substantial tree
felling.
The Horsehoe Café’s application for a lorry park is
likely to be refused as is their application for a house remote from the café.
The Council felt that planning permission should be given for the lorrypark and
also for the house, provided that it is sited next to the
café
Regarding Muir Homes planning application at Inchture,
it is likely that the latest proposals will be approved. Muir Homes is, over and
above other Community benefits, to provide £150,000 to be spent as the community
wishes. The Council felt that it could support the proposals but think that the
resulting traffic problems will still require a solution. Muir homes is also to
provide an extension to the School whether this is when required or when the
135th house is sold is to be ascertained by J
Hulbert.
The Borrow Pit at Rait is now being landscaped,
hopefully in a sympathetic manner
ROADS AND
TRANSPORT
Perth & Kinross Roads Dept have advised that where the
Rait Rd
is being damaged by Borrow Pit lorries, they are inspecting the road daily and
carrying out repairs.
Residents of Abernyte thanked the Council for their
assistance in getting the 20mph limit.
The Council is to write to the Roads Dept regarding the
non functioning light at the right of way to Main Street Inchture.
