Inchture Area Community Council

The A G M of the Community Council was held Wednesday 9^th May in Inchture Village Hall.

At this meeting our chairman Mac Roberts informed the council that he could no longer serve as a Community Councillor and would have to step down as chairman. This situation has come about as Mac stood as a candidate and was successfully elected as one of our three local councillors for the Carse in the recent May elections.

For this reason, he could not, as an elected Perth and Kinross Councillor, serve as a Community Councillor.

Mac has served on the Community Council and has been chairman of the council for more than 10 years. The Community Council would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Mac for his years of service and wish him every success in his role as our local councillor. Mac will not be completely breaking his link with the Community Council as he will now be attending our meetings in his new role as our local councillor. We are looking forward to working with him in the future.

As mentioned in the chairman’s report, the Community Council has seen a number of issues come to the table over the year. This next year the Community Council will see a number of ongoing planning and new planning developments for our comment. This coming year should also see us play our part in deciding how the Community Good Fund will be utilised. We would like to urge everyone to start thinking about suitable ways that this fund can be used to benefit our community. Your thoughts and ideas can be passed on to any of the listed Community Councillors or, preferably, brought in person to one of our meetings.

All meetings are open and members of the community are welcome to attend our meetings.
