MINUTE OF PREVIOUS
MEETING
The minute was read and its acceptance was proposed
by P Henderson and seconded by D Henderson
with the modification that Ms L McFarlane should have been deleted from the list
of attendees.
POLICE AND
FIRE
The Police in attendance reported that a car had been
stolen from the A 90 and that a case of vandalism at Inchture Village Hall had
been detected and reported.
PLANNING
The Scottish Executive
Reporter has refused the appeal for the 2 houses at Fingask Lodge, the Abernyte
houses and the farm Managers house at Ballindean still await a
decision.
There is no progress on the reinstatement of the Rait
and Fingask borrow pits although Balfour Beatty has been dumping rubbish there.
The house at the SE corner of the Rait borrow pit has been flooded due to the
broken field drains.
ROADS AND
TRANSPORT
There were complaints from members of the public
regarding the poor state of the Mains of Inchture Rd as a result of its being
used by Muir Homes Lorries. G Ward is to speak to Muir
Homes.
It would appear that the lights at the Inchcoonans road
have been removed.
The High Carse Rd is covered in mud due to the
installation of a new water pipe.
All the central reservation crossovers have been changed
apart from the one at Middlebank Farm. J Hulbert thought that this might be as a
result of a deal with the Roads Authority, but we will have to wait and see.
TWINNING
The next event is a
walking tour in August for French visitors.

PARKS &
LEISURE
It would now
appear that Scottish Water is responsible for the flooding at Inchture Park. According to J Gibbon (Roads
Engineer) they have capped the drain. The Council is to write to Scottish Water
and the press demanding that the cap be removed. J Gibbon said that if this was
done and the drain cleared the problem would be solved.
Richard Brough P & K Tree & Woodland officer
said that all fallen timber etc would be cleared up at a cost of
£4,000
