MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The minute of the previous meeting was read and it’s acceptance was proposed by Mrs C Havranek and seconded by Mr A Muirhead.

POLICE & FIRE
The theft of copper from Muir Homes site in Inchture remains undetected, the police asked everyone to remain vigilant and if anything suspicious was spotted in the area to contact them.

There had been a minor problem with youths on the roof of Inchture School and also the theft of a cartwheel in Abernyte.

 PLANNING
The demolition at Charleston Farm, behind Westown has been approved by the planners.

A planning application has been lodged to build a small house in Kinnaird, Cllr Roberts is to make enquiries regarding this.

Taypack have lodged an application on 26th April for a cold storage area and a Bio-Fuel Shed. It was asked if Taypack had been told that any further extensions would be refused due to an effect on traffic volumes through the village. It was also noted that a 20 MPH sign at the school is required for any vehicles travelling from Moncur Farm. Cllr Roberts is to make enquiries regarding the planning application and will e-mail G Ward.

In regard to the borrow pits at Rait there is still no right of way at Fingask, however the electric pylons have been done.

There is no decision yet on Myreside Farm, . Cllr Roberts is to make enquiries regarding the planning application and will e-mail G Ward.

At Valleyfield Farm a number of sheds have appeared, there has been a change of use from agricultural to light industrial, it was asked if the car boot sale formerly held at Errol is to move there.

ROADS AND TRANSPORT
There were reports of lots of water on the High Carse Road which appeared to be coming from a burn.

The Rait road is unfinished from just beyond the crossroads

A member of the public informed the meeting that there is a lay-by at Dunsinane which has been closed. When he approached P&K council to ask the reason for this, he was told that this was never an official lay-by. At the official lay-by there is only space for 2 cars and cars have now started parking on the main road and are causing a danger situation. It was asked if the unofficial lay-by could be re-opened. Cllr Roberts is to pursue this.

There is flooding on the Longforgan to Knapp road which needs to be looked at.

A member of the public expressed concern at a dip in the road between The Horse Shoe and Baledgarno and suggested that a “Dip In The Road” sign should be installed

There was no further news on the central reservation opening at Middlebank.

There was no further news on the removal of the lighting at Inchcoonans.

The entry roads onto the A90 at both Glendoick and Kinfauns were on bends and were a contradiction of the reason given for the refusal of the exit from Moncur Farm directly onto the same road.

There is a blindspot at the Bus Stop on the A90 at Moncur Farm, can anything be done to ensure that the bus stops here.

Bus drivers have been seen cutting the corners on the flyover at Inchture.

TREASURER
The signatories on the bank account have been changed to tie in with the change of office bearers. The new signatories are Mrs C Havranek (treasurer), Mr P Henderson (chairperson) and Mr S Kelly-Barton (secretary).

It was asked if an extra grant was given from P&K council if the electoral roll exceeded 2000.

TWINNING
There was nothing to report

ROSSIE CRICKET CLUB
There is to be a Marquee Dance at the Priory on Saturday 16th June with a Barbeque, Band and a Bar.

EDUCATION
There is to be a new School Forum which will elect the School Council.

PARKS & LEISURE
There was a letter from Scottish Water which stated that they were not responsible for the surface water, and which also refused permission for the removal of the cap which is causing the problem in the first place.

It was asked if the dog litter bin in the middle of the avenue of Redwoods could be moved to one side or the other as it detracted from the view.

SOCIAL WORK
The NHS Minor Ailment Scheme was brought to the attention of the council. Anyone who is eligible for free prescriptions can receive a free consultation at a pharmacy provided they have pre-registered. The idea is that it will free up Doctor’s time. It is only possible to register with one chemist.

TREES & ENVIRONMENT
P&K Countryside Trust is to discuss the location of the new Giant Redwood. It was suggested that it was planted in the area in the centre of the road up to the flyover.

AOCB
Is there any development on the location of the recycling area which has been proposed

The money which is due to be given to the community from Muir Homes was discussed. It was suggested that a sub-committee is formed to include all of the council members who reside in Inchture and to ask for volunteers from other local groups to make up as broad an interest as possible. A bank account is also to be opened with the same 3 signatories as the Community Council account, this is due to the difficulties opening a new account.

Mr F Lawrence was proposed by Cllr Roberts and seconded by Mr A Muirhead to become the member for Rait, and was therefore duly elected to the council.
