POLICE AND
FIRE
The Local Police said that they had nothing to report and asked
the meeting for their concerns. A member of the public said that lorries from
the Borrow Pit at Rait did not give way to cars.
PLANNING
Regarding Muir Homes planning
application at Inchture Derek Henderson attended the Council meeting at
Perth where the
current application was refused, it is anticipated that a further application
will be made. The question of planning gain was discussed and J Hulbert
suggested a figure of £1,000 per house. Access to the A90 and the Link Rd to the south
of Inchture was also discussed, J Hulbert said that the cost of the A90 in/out
could be £500,000 while the link Rd would be £1,000,000. The public’s feelings
regarding the link Rd/A90 in/out are to be canvassed via the
newsletter.
The proposed housing at Abernyte farm has been refused
on the grounds of too many houses and drainage problems.
Two houses at N. Lodge Fingask have been
refused.
Alterations to Charleston farmhouse and 4
new houses have been approved.
The Borrow Pit at Rait has been approved and work has
commenced, the use of the original Borrow Pit at Fingask was delayed due to the
discovery of a soutterain. It appears that planning permission was given, under
delegated authority, by the Planning Officers and did not go before the Council
despite this being in contravention of Council standing Orders which say that
major infrastructure and applications with more than 5 objections, in this case
16, should be decided by the Council. The works will last some 8 weeks and the
Community Council said that reinstatement works must by sympathetic to the
landscape
