MINUTE
OF PREVIOUS MEETING
The minute was read, its acceptance was proposed by P Henderson and
seconded by D Henderson.
POLICE
AND FIRE
Constable Alan O’Donnell gave a report saying that there was
nothing but minor crime in the area. There has been the theft of some
copper pipe and also the taking away of cars which have broken down on
the A 90.
There are now more Officers based
at Longforgan
PLANNING
On the 22nd January the Scottish Executive
Reporter is to hear appeals for the 2 houses at Fingask Lodge, the
Abernyte houses and the farm managers’ house at Ballindean.
Apparently the Rait house cannot be
approved on the grounds that the School is at capacity, presumably this
will apply to all future housing in the area.
Regarding Muir Homes site at
Inchture, work has now started on the next phase although Planning
Permission has not been formally given The Community benefit sum of
£150,000 will likely be handed over within 6 months and Perth
& Kinross Council will give advice on the funds expenditure.
The funding the School extension is still to be finalised.
Perth & Kinross Council have
asked for our comments on the planning process, the response is to be
co-ordinated by D Henderson.
There are plans afoot for an
Incinerator at either Abernethy or the Binn Farm.
ROADS
AND TRANSPORT
The Council still awaits a reply from Perth
& Kinross Council regarding the repairs to the roads to the
borrow pits at Fingask and Rait. T Woodford asked if anyone knew of
damage to vehicles caused by the poor state of these roads
F Lawrence described a recent
accident at the A 90 to Rait Rd
when a vehicle slid off the road at the bend and ended up upside down
in the burn. It was felt that a length of Armco barrier is required to
prevent a minor accident in future becoming a major one. The Council is
to write to P & K Council.
TWINNING
The next event is a Quiz night at Rait Hall on 24/2/07

TREES
& ENVIRONMENT.
Perth & Kinross Council are looking at funding for preserving
the Wellingtonias at Inchture Park
Estelle Ward has surveyed the trees
at Inchture Interchange again and there are still trees missing. The
Scottish Executive has been e-mailed and hopefully we will see action.
AOCB
Perth & Kinross’s larger bin lorries cannot get to
all houses at Kinnaird. Dr Hand has given a space at the bottom of the
Castle brae for large storage bins for 14 houses, this is seen as a
problem by adjacent proprietors.
