PLANNING

Muir Homes planning application at Inchture is to go to the Planning Committee on 15/2/06 and apparently the Planners are to recommend refusal because of the house type designs. Subsequent to the meeting it transpired that Muir Homes had re-submitted the layout showing the revisions which we had asked for and because of this G. Ward D. Henderson and J. Roberts have now written a letter in support of the revised application

SIPA have written requesting our thoughts on the proposed effluent discharge of some 7 M3 per day from Abernyte farm steading development into the burn. The Council decided that this was unacceptable.

There is an application in for 5 large houses at Charleston Farm.

Regarding the application for a new house at Abernyte, outwith and to the West of the village envelope. The Council decided to approve the application providing it did not set a precedent for further development outside the village and that the private water supply to the house to the East was protected with access kept open for repair.

Mr G Ward reported that the Rait sand & gravel quarry awaited statutory consultations.

Representations were made by members of the public regarding the proposed 4 new houses behind Inchture Hotel. The Council decided to write to P & K Planning expressing their concerns as to the over development of the site, the possible parking problems which would be created by the limited off street parking, the overlooking from upper floor windows and the disruptive effect such building works would have in view of the restricted nature of the site.

ROADS AND TRANSPORT

Mr T  Woodford reported that the potholes previously discussed had now been temporarily repaired.

Twenty MPH signs are currently being erected at Inchture School as part of the “Safer routes to Schools” J. Hulbert said that the raised walkway between the School and Church had been installed in the wrong place and will be resited.
