POLICE AND FIRE
The Local Police did not attend the meeting but reported to P Henderson that there was nothing to report.

PLANNING
The proposed housing at Abernyte farm still awaits a decision but it will have to satisfy SIPA regulations as regards sewerage discharges.

The house at Abernyte to the East of the village envelope has received planning consent.

There are 3 applications for borrow pits to the N of the high Carse Rd., no decision has yet been made but it seems likely that the pit which was used for the Inchture Interchange will be approved. The Council are to write to P & K Council saying that the damaged caused to the roads by the previous construction traffic should be made good and that lorries travelling to and from the pit should use the A 90 wherever possible and not the High Carse Road.

Regarding Muir Homes planning application at Inchture a meeting was held at P & K Planners office between the Planners, J. Hulbert, Muir Homes and G Ward. The result of the meeting appears to have been inconclusive but a further revision has been made to the layout and it is expected that this will now go to the Planning Committee in June. J Hulbert mentioned that he did not think enough planning gain was on offer.

The housing development behind Inchture Hotel has been withdrawn and will probably be resubmitted in a different form. The thought that Inchture castle may well lie below the site is to be researched by J. Hulbert.

Mr G Ward reported that the Rait sand & gravel quarry awaited statutory consultations.

ROADS AND TRANSPORT
Mr T  Woodford reported that the Kinnaird Rd was in need of repair and will write to the Roads Dept.

Twenty MPH signs are currently being erected at Inchture School as part of the “Safer routes to Schools” but will take some time to be made fully operational due to the demands on the installers. J. Hulbert is to write to the Roads Dept regarding the poor progress on the raised walkway between the School and Church at Inchture.

The Temporary railings at Inchture School have been removed.

TWINNING
The School visit from Fleac in May may have to be cancelled due to lack of accommodation for all the French pupils.

EDUCATION
The school picnic bench will hopefully be installed shortly.
